She learned it in school when she was in 2nd year High School in art class and she was motivated by her teacher Mr. Oscar Edig. Her father is her first inspiration and then her favorite cartoon characters. She always practices painting using water color almost everyday just to enhance her skills. She wants to be a good artist and an Architect. She uses acrylic, charcoal and oil pastel.

Sherilyn is 21 year old from Sitio Kati Kati San Miguel, Guimaras Province of Ilo-Ilo, She has been doing artworks for about 2 months now, and she learns it during the dugong Festival in Capiz. She wants to continue to paint to improve her skills, through art the Ati community are able to communicate especially to the Government our needs and other people to make them realize that we have the talent and through this talent we can show the richness of our culture.

Sigapo is a 30-year old B'laan male artist from upper Lasang Sarangani Province. He speaks B'laan, Tagalog and Cebuano. Through the years, since he was in highschool he has been weaving coconut midrib producing plates, hats, bags, placemats and food cover. He does his art as an artistic expression and as an income generating activity. Through his art he wants to set an example to other B'laan and Indigenous People who was out of school youth to indulge in coconut midrib weaving as there in an income in this. In the future he like to share his talent to others. He would also like to learn how to make wooden plates to augment his income.

Silveria is a Tagbanua from Aborlan, Palawan Province. She started to do weaving when she was 20 years old, she was trained by her mother. Weaving also is her source of income. She uses buri, pandan, bamboo and other variety of palm tree.

56 years old Silverio is from the community of Itawis. He can speak Ilocano, Tagalog, Itawis and English. He attended training under the Department of trade and Industries and Department of Agrarian report. He also would like to try other medium in art like painting. By collaborating materials he wants other people to realize that a lot of thing is useful. He wants to continue his work for a living. He taught first that his art is not that important, but later realizes that he is very proud of his works.

Sina is from Lake Sebu, Tiboli South Cotabato. She is 34 years old and belongs to the Tiboli Tribe. Sina can only speaks 2 dialects, Tiboli and Bisaya. She is weaving cloths for men and women and she has been doing this for 14 years. For weaving she uses textile thread, scissor and other things for weaving. Sina is one of the artist who wants to keep up her talent and share it to the other tribes and become a fullfilled tiboli.

Soliman L. Poonon
Soliman hails from the Talaandig tribe of Bukidnon. Inspired by his teacher, he has been painting since 2003. He wishes his art to be different and the use of soil pigment certainly sets him apart from other painters. His desires to preserve the Talaandig culture rooted works staining the canvas with the very soil of his identity.
