Lorenzo is 49 years old a kalingan and a Barrangay Tanod (watcher) from Lubuagan, Kalinga Province. He is very fond in making musical instrument out of bamboo because he loves music very much. He was inspired by the beat of his old folks and parents. He started to do more instruments for income purposes also. He wants to promote or to market the traditional musical instrument.

Lorenzo Matayao is 66 years old residing in Kikian, Malungon, Sarangani Province. She started practicing arts since 1992 and was influenced by her parents and grandparents. Their practice of arts was not earned from formal school but was taught to them by their ancestors. Weaving was considered a part of their rich culture and tradition.

Lorna is 54 years old from Nagbacalan, Paoay Ilocos Norte, she can speak Tagalog, English and Ilocano, she only finished grade school because of poverty she got married and she has 3 children. She is a member of the Nagbacalan Loom weavers Multipurpose Cooperative in Paoay Ilocos Norte. She is expert in weaving blankets, and she makes her own designs.

Lorraine is 34 years old a Lubuagen and a cultural worker from Lubuagan, Kalinga Province. She is currently the Tourism Officer in Kalinga Province. She has been doing beadwork since her collage days; she learned it from her mother. She was motivated to learn to make beadwork because of financial problems. Bead working is one of their sources of income so she can help her family in her financial needs in her school. She likes traditional motifs. She wants to be a genuine bead collector.

Lorsita 38 is from the B'laan community in Sitio Upper Lasang Barrangay Sapu Masia, Malapatan, Sarangani Province. She speaks B’laan, Tagalog, Ilongo and English. Her grandparents teach her how to make Mats and she wants to be a good example for her tribe by selling mats for a living. She uses romblon wild grass and buri as material.

Lory Gaban
Lory is 39 years old from the Tingian community in Ilocos Norte. she can speak Tagalog, English and Tingian, she went to school but never had a chance to finish her studies she only went up to Grade 3, she has been doing her artwork for 5 years now, and she attended a weaving workshop in Bangued Abra in 2005, now she can make a different kinds of craft using bamboo and rattan but only made to order. She wants to teach the young members of their community specially the children to learn and to preserve their culture.

Louisa is from the Ilonggo and Bol-Anon cultures. She has been an artist since kindergarten. She started art to express her imagination, ideas, feelings and thoughts. Maybe creating art is her passion that drives her life? Her preferred media are oil and acrylic paints. She also works in pen and ink, pastels, watercolor and mixed media. Her desired future accomplishment is to have fulfillment in her work, not just herself but to others as well.

She has started to weave since she was 12 years old and she was trained by her Mother and later she helps her mother to produce more artworks as it is their source of income. She also knows how to make baskets, bag and other handicraft using indigenous materials (bamboo etc.)

Lucia is an Ati from Sitio Katikati Barangay San Miguel Jordan Guimaras. who began her work as a weaver at the age of 14 as a result of the influence of her parents. She feels that her work is an important contribution to ensure that the cultures of these two traditions cannot be lost. She uses wild nito vines for weaving wallet, bags, plates and coin purse. Her goal to ensure that children can be trained in these arts, so that it will not be lost in the future.She is encouraged to continue by the need to transfer her skills and knowledge.

Lucio P. Taguiam Jr.
Lucio is an Ibanag from Cagayan Province. He can speak Ibanag, Itawis, Ilocano, Tagalog and English. He has been in the art world for about 13 years now. He is using Oil, watercolor, acrylic and mixed media. He wants to be international artists. In his art he can express the negative side of the society. He was the first prize winner of the Artist Association Competition. Basically a self-taught artist but underwent several art workshops on drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media and installation art. Works in pen and ink on paper and acrylic on canvas and paper. Early works tackled human and social issues with a dose of local history and culture, focusing on ordinary people’s aspirations for a better quality of life. Current works carry lighter and more optimistic themes about the simple folk, society and playful creativity.

Luming is a 63 year old a T’boli from Lake Sebu, South Cotobato. She's been doing her art work for about 45 years now. She started when she was only 5 years old; as she was growing up she watched her mother weaving and embroiders traditional dresses. She feels that her work is an important contribution to ensure that the cultures and traditions cannot be lost. In addition to weaving, she is accomplished in beadwork and embroidery.
